16-year-old arrested in SW Wichita deadly stabbing

Police arrest 16-year-old in connection with a stabbing at a southwest Wichita apartment complex.

It happened around 10 p.m. on Sunday in the 2500 block of West Wildwood.

According to police records, a woman told officers her 16-year-old son stabbed 32-year-old Tyreece Walker at a nearby apartment after Walker attempted to sexually assault the teen.

Police found Walker lying on his bedroom floor with multiple stab wounds all over his body.

Officers arrested the 16-year-old and booked him into the juvenile detention center for second-degree murder.
