A 67-year-old man is dead after his vehicle was struck by a train in Marion County early Tuesday morning.
According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, Steven Holdren was in a Jeep Liberty which was on the tracks at Remington and 80th Street at around 2:45 a.m.
The SUV was struck by the train, which then came to a stop and reported the incident.
People in the train reported that the vehicle appeared to be parked on the tracks with no lights on.
The accident is under investigation.
