The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Reece's body was found just a third of a mile south of where he went under in river. His body was tangled in some debris under four feet of water.

No special tools were used to make the recovery.

Four OHP troopers and the Oklahoma Game Warden were involved in the search.
Authorities are searching for a 57-year-old man after he and three others went swimming in the Arkansas River Thursday night.

Arkansas City firefighters were called around 11:30 p.m. to rural Cowley County near the state line for a report of a possible drowning.

Fire Chief Bobby Wolfe says four people were swimming when 57-year-old man began having trouble. Another man attempted to rescue him but also had trouble and had to be saved by a third person.

Wolfe told KSOK-NewsCow that the three young adults were rescued from the river and treated for exhaustion.

The newspaper says crews searched the river and scene until early Friday morning but could not find the missing man.

Arkansas City officials say the search is now under the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's jurisdiction.
