WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) On March 24 students and supporters will march to demonstrate that they want to feel safe in schools; it is part of a nation-wide movement.
The march is in response to the recent school shootings. Students from many Wichita-area high schools are planning to attend.
Organizers say they will march from Park Elementary to the courthouse to show their voices need to be heard.
"We're here to advocate for gun violence prevention and I mean obviously this is a huge issue, it's multi-faceted," says Blair Brandom, one of the organizers. "We all want to come together and find a middle ground and agree what can we do to keep our students safe."
The march will also include voter registration booths.
