More wind, more heat for Kansas

Meteorologist Jake Dunne says get ready for more wind and heat today as high temperatures climb into the lower and middle 90s across Kansas. If you can believe it, the south wind should be a bit stronger than Monday as we some gusts to 40 mph across south-central Kansas!

Wednesday will be another hot and breezy day around the state with exception of northwest Kansas where a weak cold front will slide through during the day. Temperatures will drop a few degrees in that part of the state and north-central Kansas could see a few storms Wednesday night.

Thunderstorms are a better bet on Thursday, mainly across western Kansas. However, they should be hit and miss in nature meaning many of us will remain dry. Scattered storms arrive on Friday followed by scattered to numerous storms Friday night and Saturday.
