Fifth case of Zika Virus confirmed in Kansas
UPDATE: The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reports a fifth case of Zika Virus in Kansas.
The latest case was confirmed in the Northeast Region and was travel-related, so it was not contracted locally.
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has confirmed a new case of Zika Virus in Kansas.
KDHE does not track cases by county, but says the virus was confirmed last Friday in South-Central Kansas.
We do know the case was travel-related and not contracted locally.
This is the fourth case of Zika Virus in Kansas this year. One case in Southwest Kansas, the other two in Northeast Kansas.
