Chief Meteorologist Ross Janssen says that after heat and wind on Wednesday, a cold front will arrive into Thursday to help cool things down. That will also be the next highest rain chance for most of the area.
Skies will be partly cloudy into the night with a steady south breeze. Low temperatures will stay in the 60s and 70s, with highs near 90 Wednesday afternoon. It will be rather windy throughout the day.
Storms return to northern Kansas Wednesday night and will keep moving south into Thursday. Highs will be slip back to the lower half of the 80s by Thursday.
Dry weather returns for Friday with lower humidity and sunshine.
