No foul play suspected in Ark City infant's death
The Ark City Police Department says it is continuing to investigate the death of an infant Sunday in the city, but police say, there are currently no signs of foul play.
"The investigation is ongoing, but at this time there are no signs of abuse or neglect, or any signs of suspicious activity being involved in the child’s death," Ark City police say.
The Ark City Police Department and Fire-EMS departments responded Sunday to a report of a child not breathing in the 1000 block of South B Street. Police say EMS personnel attempted CPR on the infant.
"Despite the life-saving attempt, the child passed away a short time later from unknown causes," police say.
Police say an autopsy was completed at the Sedgwick County Forensic Center in Wichita.
