TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A 15-year-old Ohio boy is being called a hero for his generosity after donating all of his livestock premiums to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“His donation of $15,000 will help to find cures for young children and save lives,” his school district, Western Reserve Schools, posted on its Facebook page. “Diesel, you are a hero!”
Diesel Pippert earned the money during the Huron Co. (Ohio) County fair’s large animal fair and gave it all to charity, the district explained.
The post added that the 7th grader “should be an example to us all.”
And, it looks like he may be. Since word got out about his gift, Diesel’s unselfishness has garnered national attention.
