Wichita police have found the car involved in a hit-and-run near Wichita State.
The accident happened just before 1 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of 17th and Fairmount.
Police say they found the driver of the small red sedan, but no arrests have been made. They are working to determine if the student was using the sidewalk during the time of the accident.
A Wichita State University student was hospitalized after being hit by a car Wednesday afternoon.
It happened just before 1 p.m. at the intersection of 17th and Fairmount.
Police say the woman was crossing the intersection when she was hit by a small red sedan headed east on 17th St.
The woman was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. There's no update on her condition.
Police are currently looking for the car. They believe it may have front end damage and a cracked windshield.
