Man injured in north Wichita motorcycle crash dies

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Tuesday, October 8, 2019

A man involved in a motorcycle crash over the weekend has died.

Michael Ralls, 57, was taken to the hospital on Saturday with critical injuries following a crash on I-135 near the 13th St. N. exit.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says Ralls was riding his motorcycle northbound on I-135 in the center lane when the back tire blew out.

Troopers say Ralls negotiated the motorcycle to the right shoulder where he lost control and was thrown from the bike.

He was not wearing a helmet.

A 57-year-old man is critically hurt after a motorcycle crash Saturday in north Wichita.

The crash happened just after 3 p.m. on I-135 near the 13th St. N. exit.

The Kansas High Patrol says the man was riding his motorcycle northbound on I-135 in the center lane when the back tire blew out.

The man negotiated the motorcycle to the right shoulder then lost control and was thrown off.

Emergency crews transported him to Via Christi St. Francis for treatment. No update on his condition.

KHP says he was not wearing a helmet.
