One dead on I-70 in Russell County

RUSSELL COUNTY, Kan. (KWCH) Update: 8:13 a.m.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says the death along I-70 in Russell County is likely a suicide.
One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle on I-70 early Friday morning.

The Kansas Highway Patrol says shortly after 5 a.m. a person was found dead in the eastbound lanes in Russell County. An empty vehicle was parked along the shoulder.

Troopers are now looking for the hit-and-run vehicle traveling east on I-70. It is believed to have front end damage.
