One hospitalized for smoke inhalation after W. Wichita house fire

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a house fire in west Wichita.

Crews were called to the 100 block of south Edwards shortly before noon Sunday.

When fire crews arrived, they were able to quickly bring the fire under control.

Fire Marshal Stuart Bevis said one person was hospitalized for smoke inhalation.

Investigators say the fire caused about $10,000 in structural damage and $2,000 in content damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
