3 charged with murder in deadly south Wichita shooting

Three people are charged with murder in the death of a man shot and killed at a hotel on south Broadway on Sunday morning.

Bryant Bailey, Robyn Murphy and Annette Williams all appeared in court Wednesday morning. They're charged in the death of 55-year-old Timothy Austin.

Wichita police found Austin with a gunshot wound around 5:15 a.m. on Sunday at the Countryside Inn, 803 S. Broadway.

He was taken to the hospital where he died.

Bailey also faces a charge of criminal possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Police say the shooting was drug-related.

Wichita police arrested three people in connection with a deadly shooting Sunday morning.

Bryant Baily, 49, Robyn Murphy, 52, and Annette Williams, 60, were all booked into the Sedgwick County Detention Facility on arresting charges of first-degree murder.

Police say around 5:15 a.m. on Sunday, officers responded to a shooting call at the Countryside Inn, 803 S. Broadway.

Officers arrived to find 55-year-old Timothy Austin, of Wichita, who had been shot in the upper body. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition but later died from his injuries.

Officers learned that he was involved in a disturbance with the suspects in the parking of the motel. Police believe the shooting was not random and drug-related.

Police say there have been six homicides in less than 10 days.

Wichita police are investigating a shooting that left a 55-year-old man dead on Sunday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a shooting call at the Countryside Inn located in the 800 block of South Broadway at around 5:15 a.m.

Police said the victim was involved in a disturbance with a group of individuals in the parking lot when he was shot.

There were no other injuries, and this is not a random incident. No arrests have been made.

911 dispatchers tell us emergency crews were called to a report of a shooting at a hotel in the 800 block of S. Broadway, that's just south of Kellogg.

A man was found with a gunshot wound to the chest.

No word on any arrests.
