OSHA investigating after man dies in industrial accident in Great Bend

UPDATE--6:50 p.m.: The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has opened an investigation into Thursday afternoon's fatal industrial accident at Fuller Industries in Great Bend.
OSHA says a 63-year-old man died in the accident. The organization says "preliminary information indicates the plastics manager suffered fatal injuries after being caught in a molding machine."

One man has died in an industrial accident in Great Bend.
It happened about 12:15 p.m. at Fuller Industries. The company makes cleaning supplies, brushes and private label chemicals.
Thursday afternoon, the Great Bend Police Department says police and Great Bend Fire/EMS were dispatched to the company at about 12:15 p.m. in reference to an injured employee.
Upon arrival, first responders found that the man had died, the police department says.
Great Bend police say "a thorough investigation is currently being conducted."
The department says it is not releasing the man's name until his family is notified.
"This is obviously a great loss to our community," Great Bend Police Chief Clifton Couch says. "Today, a lot of people in Great Bend lost a friend or family member. I hope that the community will join me in keeping these friends and family in our thoughts and prayers.”
