Police identify man killed in Monday morning shooting
Wichita police identified at man killed in a shooting early Monday morning as 25-year-old Joshua Steele of Wichita. Police say they found Steele with a gunshot wound at a home in the 6900 block of E. Ayesbury Circle.
He was unresponsive and emergency medical crews could not revive him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say Steele and his girlfriend were at a friend's home when two men showed up. There was an argument over property and, during the argument, several shots were fired, striking Steele.
The two then left the scene in a moving-style truck.

A man is dead after being shot early Monday in NE Wichita.
Officers were called to the 6900 block of E. Ayesbury Circle, near 21st and Woodlawn, around 5:15 a.m. Monday.
They found a 25-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He died on the scene.
Through their investigation, officers learned the man and his girlfriend were at the home of a friend on Ayesbury. Two men arrived at the home and a disturbance occurred between the 25-year-old man, his girlfriend and the other two men.
One of the men pulled out a handgun and fired multiple times, striking the 25-year-old.
The two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.
Police say this is not incident a random incident, and the investigation is still ongoing.
