WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) An overnight house fire in southeast Wichita is under investigation.
The fire started around 2 a.m. on south Stoneybrook Circle, near Harry and Webb.
Crews say the they saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the home when they arrived.
Investigators say the fire likely started in the kitchen.
"Fire was significant to the kitchen and first floor area of the home, smoke damage was significant throughout. There were no injuries to civilians or fire fighters and the cause is under investigation at this time," Captain Jason Jones said.
The Red Cross has been called in to assist the homeowners.
