Police: Alcohol may be involved in pedestrian crash near Delano

Wichita police say a 56-year-old man struck by a car Thursday night remains hospitalized.

The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. near Douglas and Seneca.

Police say the man was crossing Seneca, north of Douglas, from east to west, when he ran in front of a blue Ford Taurus. The 81-year-old driver was traveling southbound on Seneca.

Police believe alcohol may have been involved on the part of the pedestrian.

The investigation is still ongoing.

A man is in very critical condition after an injury accident in the Delano area.

Wichita police say the man was walking across Seneca Street when he was struck by a vehicle.

Police blocked of Douglas Avenue, north to work the crash.

Again, the man, who is in his 50s, was taken to the hospital in very critical condition.
