Every Tuesday, Eyewitness News This Morning shares tips on saving some extra cash.

This week, we look at a money-saving app you may have seen.

It's called Ibotta. It became accredited with the Better Business Bureau in 2016 and holds a "B" rating with that agency.

Ibotta partners with grocery stores and other nationwide chains like Dillons, Walmart and Target.

Certain products in those stores will have cash-back values. So, if you buy them and scan your receipt, you'll earn 25 cents or even a few dollars on some deals.

Once you earn $20, you can cash it in and send the money to a PayPal or Venmo account.

You can get gift cards, too.

Some of the reviews on the BBB state that customers had trouble cashing in, or linking the earnings to the correct accounts.
