Update: Frankie the rhinoceros iguana was found safe. His owner says Frankie was located on a neighbor's back porch.

A near four-foot long rhinoceros iguana is on the loose in Sedgwick County.

Robert Johnstone says "Frankie" ripped open the mesh of his outdoor enclosure and escaped from his home in Derby late last week.

Since then, Johnstone and his wife have been searching their neighborhood near 63rd South and Greenwich for the iguana.

They say "Frankie" is harmless and if anyone spots him, don't be alarmed and call Johnstone at 316-644-2790 or Derby's Tails and Scales Pet Store at 316-788-1100.

Johnstone says Frankie does have claws and can bite and encourages anyone who finds the iguana to call him immediately and wait for help if they're unsure how to properly catch him.

Rhinoceros iguanas can grow up to four-and-a-half feet in length and weigh up to 20 pounds.
