Police end standoff in NE Wichita, suspect search continues

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Update: A standoff in northeast Wichita is over.

Wichita police say the suspect apparently slipped away before the standoff really started. The will continue to look for him.

Police are working a standoff in northeast Wichita.

Dispatchers confirmed officers are working the standoff in the 4900 block of Looman East. That's near 21st and Oliver.

We do know police blocked off Looman and the SWAT team has been called out to the scene.
