Rain and storms continue through mid-week
Meteorologist Mark Larson says it'll be another wet and stormy start to our week with on and off rain and storms expected through Wednesday. Severe storms will also be possible at times, so keep your Storm Team 12 app handy, activate your weather push alerts and stay weather aware.
Look for more rain and storms Monday afternoon under a mostly cloudy sky with highs in the 60s and 70s. A few storms could be severe at times through early Tuesday morning.
A slow moving cold front will slowly sink through our region tonight then stall-out across parts of southern Kansas tomorrow and Wednesday producing more rain, storms, and a few more bouts of severe weather especially tonight and again Wednesday. Large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes will continue to be threats along with locally heavy, and potentially flooding, rains.
Much cooler temps will blow into Kansas Wednesday and Thursday when highs tumble into the 50s and 60s as the stalled front finally sinks south of Kansas.
Our weekend will start-off with highs in the 60s Saturday then warm back up into the 70s for Mother's Day.
