Santa prays for Kansas boy who wants new kidney for Christmas

OLATHE, Kan. (KWCH) A Kansas City-area boy received a special Christmas gift from Santa.

The boy's mom, Julie Kay Ryff, wrote on Facebook that she took her three children to Bass Pro to have their picture taken with the jolly old elf.

Santa asked each of the children what they wanted. She told him her son, Levi, who doesn't talk much, is on the kidney transplant list and would like a new kidney for Christmas.

She said Santa reached back for Levi, put him on his lap. He then wrapped one arm around the little boy, placed the other on his belly and started to pray.

Ryff said it was the most heartfelt sincere prayer. She said she walked away crying.

"It never ceases to amaze me how God puts people in your path to bless and encourage you when you need it most, and usually it comes in the most unexpected places and ways. I'm thankful for this sweet man tonight. Thanks, Santa! @ Bass Pro Shops," Ryff concluded her post.
