Sedgwick County Zoo's elephant habitat up for Reader's Choice Award

WICHITA, Kan. The Sedgwick County Zoo needs your help. The zoo's elephant habitat, The Reed Family Elephants of the Zambezi River Valley, is up for USA Today's Reader's Choice Award for Best Zoo Exhibit, and as of Friday (April 12) has a real shot to win.

The Wichita zoo's elephant exhibit is currently ranked second on the leaderboard , trailing only the Lied Jungle at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium.

The five-acre Reed Family Elephants of the Zambezi River Valley exhibit is the third-largest elephant habitat in the country. The African elephants have access to both indoor and outdoor spaces.
