Update June 26, 2020 9 a.m. An arrest was made in connection to Thursday's shooting at the Keeper of the Plains. 21-year-old Larry Triplett was arrested for on charges of aggravated battery, aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, and a Sedgwick County warrant, according to Wichita Police. Police said that Triplett opened fire on the 19-year-old who was injured in the shooting and his friend. Triplett had also taken property from the 19-year-old and fled the scene. Triplett was arrested without incident during a traffic stop near Cassoday. Police said the shooting was not a random incident. ---------------------------------------------------- Update June 25, 2020 12 p.m. During a media briefing later in the day, Wichita Police Officer Charley Davidson said that a 19-year-old male was injured in the shooting. Davidson said the 19-year-old and his friend were in the north parking lot at the Keeper of the Plains when a disturbance took place and took property belonging to the 19-year-old. He then fled the scene with other people. This is not a random incident, according to WPD. ------------------------------------------------ June 25, 2020 4:30 a.m. A shooting at the Keeper of the Plains around 1 a.m. Thursday morning has left one man in his 20s hurt. The man was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay. Additionally, a car was also struck by a bullet, but no one else was hurt. “We’re currently interviewing witnesses,” Lt. Mike Linnehan of the Wichita Police said. “There were about a dozen people in the parking lot and looking for surveillance video but it's still in the early stages of the investigation.” No arrests have been made.
