Still time for families to apply for holiday assistance

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Inter-Faith Ministries says it's not too late for families and individuals to apply for assistance this holiday season.

Low-income families are able to receive food items, winter wear, blankets and other basic needs through Operation Holiday.

Households must apply in-person at one of 10 application sites now through this Friday, November 30.

Distribution of goods will take place December 13-15 at the Operation Holiday warehouse located at Towne West Mall (4600 W. Kellogg, NW corner between Dick’s and Convergys).

Applicants must provide proof of identification and income, and meet certain income requirements to qualify. For example, a family of three cannot qualify if their monthly income is $2400 or more per month.

Households may only receive assistance through Operation Holiday or Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, not both.

More information on eligibility and application locations and hours can be found at OperationHoliday.org.
