Teachers at Wichita Southeast express safety concerns

A group of Wichita teachers says they're worried about their safety and wants the district to take action.

Union president Steve Wentz says faculty at Southeast High School in Wichita are petitioning district administrators to take action to deal with student discipline.

Wentz says teachers are frustrated with what they feel like is lack of follow through when it comes to student discipline.

Wentz says teachers met with their principal and an assistant superintendent on Friday to work on a solution.

A spokeswoman for the district says they have not seen the petition, but administrators are listening to teachers and will work to solve their concerns.
