Teen arrested for making possible bomb threat toward Dodge City Middle School

DODGE CITY, Kan. (KWCH) Dodge City police arrest a teen in connection with a possible bomb threat reported Thursday at Dodge City Middle School.

Police say officers learned about the possible threat a little after 4 p.m. Thursday. They learned a 13-yer-old student at the school was in a classroom when she received a phone call from a blocked number .

"The male caller started using profanity, and the student hung up the phone," police say. "The blocked caller immediately called back, and the female student put the phone or speaker for the teacher to listen. During the second call, the unknown male caller stated that he was going to blow up the school."

A little after 8 p.m. Thursday, officers located the 15-year-old boy they say made the threatening call toward the middle school and arrested him.

"Charges for the alleged felony crime of aggravated criminal threat will be filed with the Ford County Attorney's Office," Dodge City police say.
