KANSAS PROUD: Toganoxie boy with rare genetic disorders signs with Jayhawks

LAWRENCE, Kan. (KWCH) The Kansas Jaywalks make us Kansas Proud with their newest recruit.

Tayber Witt was the team's biggest recruit from national signing day.

The 11-year-old Tonganoxie boy has several genetic disorders. His mom says some of them are so rare, they don't have names.

Tayber says he can still make a difference on the grid-iron since he's signed with the Hawks for the next two years.

"I feel like I gained a family member, like a little brother, "I'm the youngest in my family, so you know I always wanted a little brother or sister," says Bryce Torneden.

Being part of the Jayhawk football team comes with some perks. Tayber now gets to attend every football game until 2020.
