Two people killed in I-35 wrecks

A Wichita woman was killed when she rear-ended a semi on the Kansas Turnpike on Saturday afternoon.

37-year-old Tiana Herling was southbound on I-35, near mile marker 32, when the wreck happened.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that Herling had been reported twice as an erratic driver before the wreck.

The driver of the semi was not hurt.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reports icy roads played a role in another accident Saturday evening.

Two men parked their car in the median of I-35 in Osage county. Another car slid off the road and struck their vehicle. The car struck the two men, and killed one of them.

49-year-old Robert Groh was killed at the scene. The other man was taken to the hospital because of his injuries. The driver of the other car was not hurt.
