VNA has announced plans to move its proposed biofuel plant to a different site near Wellington.
A release on the company's website shows they now want to build the plant at the southwest corner of Seneca and Highway 160.
Sumner NewsCow reports the site is within the three-mile zoning jurisdiction of the city of Wellington.
The company would require a special use permit and the are would need to be rezone.d
Several Wellington officials are traveling to Germany to tour VNA facilities and to learn more about what goes on at a biofuel plant.
The Sumner County Commissioner last November denied a request to rezone a piece of land near the Ninnescah River for the proposed plant.
