Warmer weeekend, but still chilly

Wind chills in the single digits this morning with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. While temperatures will be warmer across Kansas today, it will still be chilly with gusty south winds through the afternoon. Wind gusts will reach 25-35 m.p.h. Increasing clouds statewide, becoming mostly cloudy tonight with a light wintry mix possible after midnight for south-central and southeast Kansas. A few slick spots are possible early Sunday morning with temperatures in the 20s and low 30s.

Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies on Sunday with temperatures warming up into the 40s. More chances of wet weather Monday with light rain or drizzle in the morning, then a light wintry mix by evening (light snow across northern Kansas). Tuesday through Valentine's Day looks dry with a light wintry mix possible late Thursday night. Temperatures remain near normal with highs in the 40s and 50s through the next 7-10 days.
