'We will take the fight from here': Soldiers send off round for Dep. Kunze
Two officers who weren't able to attend Dep. Robert Kunze's funeral said they were remembering the fallen deputy in a special way.
Deputy Nitcher is with the Butler County Sheriff's Office, and Officer Gonzales is with the Wichita Police Department. Both are deployed.
On Monday, the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office posted photos of the Soldiers holding a signed round with this message.
"This round is for Deputy Kunze. We wanted to say we are sorry to you guys and the family for your loss of a great person. We could not attend the funeral due to both of us being deployed for an operation overseas. We send this round off signed by both of us and telling Deputy Kunze to rest in paradise. We will take the fight from here."
The post has since received more than 1,400 reactions.
