Wichita Baseball taking name suggestions for new team

Minor League Baseball is returning to Wichita with the arrival of the Miami Marlins’ Triple-A affiliate, but the name for the current New Orleans BabyCakes won't fly in the Air Capital.

Suggestions are now being taken to name the new team which will be playing in downtown Wichita for the inaugural season in 2020.

Fans are invited to suggest names, along with the reasons for those names,

to have your suggestions heard.

Suggestions can be submitted through Monday, January 21. Feedback will be used in the process of selecting the team name.
