Wichita barbershops give free haircuts for students heading back to school

WICHITA, Kan. A pair of Wichita barbershops gave back to local students Sunday, giving them fresh looks ahead of a new school year.

Fusionz Barbershop and Prime Time Barbershop gave free haircuts to students Sunday.

Sunday marked the third year that Fusionz has provided free haircuts for kids going back to school.

Luis Moreno owns the shop and opened Fusionz with a friend years ago.

"It's us showing appreciation for everybody that does come in and we take this day to give back to our youth, our youth is our foundation, it kind of gives them - opens their eyes a little bit," says Tosha Caygle.

Both barbershops also sent students home with new backpacks and school supplies.
