Wichita Snow Day event canceled

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) UPDATE: A Snow Day Event put on by The Snow Bros of Wichita that was scheduled for today (Saturday, Feb. 9) has been canceled.

One of the organizers reached out to us on Facebook. He tells us they had to cut the event short because of equipment problems.

He says they're disappointed they weren't able to make it work today, but assures us the event will be rescheduled.
Wichita didn't get much snow from this week's winter storm, but that will all change come Friday night.

The City of Wichita is partnering again with Snow Bros for another citywide snow day. It's been 36 hours in the making.

The fun starts Friday night with the first Wichita Snow Glow. The event will take place at the Mid-America All-Indian Center, 650 N. Seneca, from 7-10 p.m.

Bring your own non-metal sled to enjoy the snow at night. There will be a DJ, lights, a fire pit and food trucks.

Limited tickets are available. Prices are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12 and under.

Have fun again on Saturday with Wichita's second Free Snow Day of 2019. The event starts at 8 a.m. and lasts until the snow runs out!

Dunkin' Donuts will be selling hot cocoa, coffee and donuts.
