Wichita police arrest woman for beating, killing dog during home burglary

Hilda Noordhoek is charged with animal cruelty in the beating death of Buffalo.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) Wichita police arrest a woman months after investigators say she beat a dog to death during a home burglary.

The dog's owner reported last year that he came home to find someone had broken into his home, robbed him and killed his dog, Buffalo.'

He said the thief stole his laptop and headphones and beat Buffalo with a bat he left near the door.

Wichita police confirm Hilda Noordhoek was arrested and booked into the Sedgwick County Jail on Thursday for burglary, theft and animal cruelty.
