Wichita police seek suspect in 2012 murder case, victim found with cut throat

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) The Wichita Police Department and Crime Stoppers of Wichita-Sedgwick County are asking for the public's help to locate a suspect from a 2012 homicide.

Police say on August 4, 2012, Pheng Xiong was found dead in the 800 block of S. Erie. They say his throat was cut.

Rathanak Chea was charged with first-degree murder in the case, but investigators say they believe he left Wichita.

Chea is being featured on the Crime Stoppers Warrant Project for the month of May. A billboard with his photo on it is located at Kellogg and Washington and the poster is available to view all subjects on social media.
