Woman with concealed carry license who shot robber called a 'Hero'

CHICAGO (WBBW/CNN) Chicago residents are praising a 25-year-old woman, with a concealed carry license, after police say she shot and killed a man who was trying to rob her at a bus stop.

The event was captured on surveillance video.

Police say the woman was waiting at the bus stop when a 19-year-old man walked up to her, pulled out a gun and tried to rob her. The woman pulled out her own gun and shot him in the neck.

The man took the woman's gun and ran from the scene. He was found blocks away, then taken to the hospital where he died.

The woman fell to the ground and also left the scene.

Police say they haven't been able to locate either guns.

They say they have had prior contact with the 19-year-old man.
