Breece the Beast impressing early in Ames

ARLINGTON, Texas Wichita has seen a number of athletes compete in Big 12. Names like Barry Sanders, Blake Bell, Ben Powers, Tre King and Morgan Burns, just to name a few. Now with a spring season under his belt— Breece Hall is next in line to carry the torch at Iowa State. Here is what some of his new teammates and coaches had to say from Big 12 Media Days in Arlington Tuesday.

"He is ready to produce, he came into spring ball very strong,” said Linebacker Marcel Spears Jr. “He is totin' that thing right now. I am excited to see what he does for us."

“He is a really special player,” said Offensive Lineman Josh Knipfel. “He has come in, he works really hard. The adjustment from high school to college, he has done a really good job of dealing with that.”

"This fall camp will tell a lot,” explained Iowa State Head Coach Matt Campbell. “It is an open competition and he has really put himself in the mix of things to compete in the fall. So this will be an exciting to see where he ends up towards the beginning of the season.”
