Sacremento Kings guard Buddy Hield recently finished his third year in the NBA. Each year the Sunrise Christian Academy alumn has found a way to improve his game but he credits those in the city for helping him get to where he is.
The former Oklahoma Sooner left Wichita after playing with Sunrise Christian Academy in 2012.
In his third year in the league, The guard averaged 14.9 points a game and just under 5 rebounds.
Sunrise, like I say all the time, is home for me. I'm blessed to be here, you know Coach Lindsted, Luke, Brett, Jeremiah they are the cool guys that help me to get to the level that I'm at,' said Hield.
"You know they push me each and every day when I was here. I say Sunrise, the environment was a great environment for me to grow up as an individual." he added.
