Conner Frankamp joins Aftershocks fresh off first NBA stint

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) -- Wichita State's first-ever "The Basketball Tournament" team "The Aftershocks" gathered for their initial practice Monday night at Koch Arena.

Former Shocker guard (2015-18) Conner Frankamp joined the team fresh off of his first stint in the NBA Summer League.

The Wichita North High grad averaged one point in 10 minutes of play through three games with the Los Angeles Lakers Summer League team.

Although it didn't end up with a contract in the Association, Frankamp learned valuable lessons from coaches and general managers at the next level.

"I got a lot! Just to always be ready and like I said, it was a big step from Bulgaria and to get that next opportunity," he said. "Just keep having good years, like next year, have a good year in Greece and then hopefully get another chance to go there and show what I can do."

Frankamp signed with Rethymno Cretan Kings in Greece's top-tier league.

You can see Frankamp and the rest of the Aftershocks in the Wichita Regional of the TBT July 25-28 at Koch Arena.
