NEWTON, Kan. (KWCH) -- Devonte Graham returned to Kansas Saturday afternoon to meet and greet fans in Wichita and Newton, two stops on a book tour.
The #1 Seed Kansas Jayhawks played the # 16 Seed UC Davis Aggies at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. on Friday, March 17, 2017 during the first round of the 2017 NCAA Basketball Tournament. The Jayhawks defeated the Aggies 100 - 62 and move on to face either the Miami Hurricanes or the Michigan St. Spartans on Sunday March 19. 2017 at the BOK Center.
Graham was joined by the author and acclaimed sportswriter Jason King to promote his book "Beyond the Streak," the story behind the Jayhawks' 13-straight Big 12 titles.
"It's always good to come back, that's why I love coming back here because it's nothing but love and it's just a great feeling, it's like my second home," Graham said.
The newest Charlotte Hornet played three games in the NBA Summer League before injuring his knee. He said he's feeling better and he's lucky to avoid any surgery.
"Definitely a huge relief because if I had to have surgery, I would've been out until like January or February," he said. "That would've been tough and so I'm just happy I get to play. Back working out and I'll be in Charlotte tomorrow."
