ESPN: Washington waives former Shocker Ron Baker

The Washington Wizards have waived former Wichita State University basketball star Ron Baker according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

The Wizards signed the guard from Western Kansas in December, after he was let go by the New York Knicks.

Baker appeared in 92 games, had 14 starts over three seasons with the Knicks and averaged 14.7 minutes, 3.3 points, 1.8 assists and 1.5 rebounds per game.

He originally signed as an undrafted rookie free agent on Aug. 1, 2016, before re-signing on Aug. 7, 2017.
