In a game that saw a total of four field goals fail, Hutchinson defeated Highland 13-10 in double overtime at Gowans Stadium in Hutchinson.
The first half took only 57 minutes to play and saw both Highland CC and Hutchinson shut out.
The Blue Dragons saw multiple drives stall out in the Scotties' territory including one that ended on an interception.
Both teams struggled to the run the football with just 83 yards rushing in the game.
Hutchinson finally got on the scoreboard with 11:11 left in the fourth quarter on a field goal, but Highland scored on a 25-yard field goal to force overtime.
The Scotties struck first in overtime on Tristan Speer touchdown pass and the Blue Dragons answered with 7 points of their own on a Cam Jones touchdown pass to Jaylen Erwin to make it 10-10 after the first overtime.
In the second overtime, the Blue Dragons kicker Luke Niemeyer made a 37-yard field goal. Highland missed a responding field goal to give Hutchinson the win.
