MANHATTAN, Kan. (MANHATTAN MERCURY) Police arrested Kansas State defensive back Duke Shelly Tuesday morning for failure to appear in court.

The Manhattan Mercury reports Shelly was arrested around 11:00 a.m. in the 1400 block of College Avenue.

The Manhattan Municipal court ordered the warrant after Shelly failed to show proof of liability insurance, an expired tag, and owning a vehicle that isn't registered.

Shelly is a senior at K-State but because of a right leg injury hasn't played in the two previous games. He is the third player to arrested since the season began.
