WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) -- Wichita State infielder Luke Ritter led the Santa Barbara Foresters to a 20-12 run-rule win Sunday night over the Dodge City A's in the NBC World Series.

The 32 combined runs were the most-ever in any NBC World Series game. The final run came off the bat of Ritter.

The 38 hits were also a record. The final was also from Ritter.

He said he was just happy to get the nearly four-hour game over with.

"I know the guys on my team, i knew we needed one more run for the run rule and it's been a long game out in this heat so i was really trying to do it for them more than anything."
