According to sources close to the situation, Martinez was forced out by ownership.

We reached out to Martinez but our call was not immediately returned.

Martinez took over as head coach of the Wichita Wild in 2014 and went 10-2 on their way to a CPIFL Championship. In 2015, the Wild changed names and became the Wichita Force. Martinez posted a 27-12 record between 2015-2017. That run peaked in 2016, when the Force went 10-2 and won the CIF Championship over Amarillo.

Prior to being a head coach, Martinez served as coordinator for the franchise since 2011.

No replacement has been named as of Friday.
