Royals consider signing child molester, college baseball star

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KWCH) The Royals are considering whether to sign an Oregon State University pitcher who is also a child molester.

A report in The Oregonian newspaper reported Luke Heimlich pleaded guilty to molesting his six-year-old niece when he was 15-years-old.

The newspaper learned Heimlich was deemed by the state of Washington to be a low-level sex offender as a result of the case.

Heimlich - who is pitching in the college world series - is among the top pitchers in college baseball.
