WICHITA, Kan. Freshman Center Morris Udeze will miss the rest of the season after requiring shoulder surgery.
"After looking at it with the doctor and having an MRA... it was determined there was too much pain, too much damage had been done," Head Coach Gregg Marshall explained Tuesday. "He's going to have surgery, which will be season-ending. We hope to have him back in, I think, about five months."
Udeze appeared in 16 games for the Shockers this season. He averaged just over 3 points and 3 rebounds in those games. He will not be able to apply for a medical hardship to maintain eligibility for this freshman season, as he played in too many games.
